South Coast Branch Championships
2016-2017 South Coast Branch Championships.
The South Coast Branch Championships for 2016-2017 have been
rescheduled and are to be held on the 19th February, 2017 at
Warilla-Barrack Point SLSC for both Juniors and Opens.
*** No South Coast Branch Junior Activity or Nipper events are to be conducted by any South Coast Branch Club during the weekend of January 22nd due to the running of South Coast Branch Championships.

Entries;

Entries are Reopened and to be completed online and entry dates are as follows;

Competitors only need to be entered in their Individual age group. For example, Masters competitor please enter in Masters, not Open and Masters (they can compete in both)

Please review and remember section 1.3 of SLSA Policy 5.04 –
Any member completing their proficiency after 31 December each season shall be eligible to patrol but shall not be permitted to participate in any SLSA Championship competition until 1 July later in that year except where exceptional circumstances prevented the member from completing their proficiency by the cut off (31 December).
This exceptional circumstance must be validated and endorsed by the relevant State/Territory Director of Lifesaving.
ANY COMPETITOR THAT DOES NOT MEET THE ABOVE CRITERIA WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE
Entry Fees:
1. $7 Per member with a $15 Late entry fee.
2. Clubs will be invoiced by South Coast Surf Lifesaving Branch on completion of carnival.
Officials and Water Safety;
We need to ensure that we have adequate officials/helpers/water safety to run the South Coast Branch Carnival successfully. Clubs will be advised of Water safety and Official rosters shortly.
Required Ratios;
Officials : 1 per 7 competitors.
Water Safety: 1 per 7 competitors - only required for the U8-U14 section of carnival.
The name of officials and water safety are required via email to Dana Richards the Director of Surf Sports by 16th January, 2017.
All Entries must be made using the Carnival Event Management Web Site;
The South Coast Branch Junior Lifesaver of Year male and female representatives will also be announced on 22 January, 2017 at lunchtime (approx) during the South Coast Branch Junior Championships.
