New! Safer Beaches with New Surf Life Saving Oxygen Resuscitators;
South Coast beaches will be safer with the introduction of new oxygen resuscitation kits at local Surf Life Saving clubs.
Ray Williams, the Minister responsible for volunteering and Member for South Coast Shelley Hancock today visited Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club to announce the NSW Government will deliver new OTK oxygen resuscitation kits to all of the South Coast’s Surf Life Saving clubs.
“The state-of-the-art resuscitator kits are used by NSW Ambulance paramedics and will give our local Surf Life Saving clubs the best chance of helping anyone who gets into trouble at the beach,” Mrs Hancock said.

New! South Coast Lifesavers score partial funding for Hub in Nowra;
A long-held dream is finally coming into fruition for South Coast Surf Life Saving branch president Steve Jones. Steve’s vision, to build a training and administration hub in Nowra, servicing clubs from Warilla to Mollymook, was endorsed by the state government on Monday.
The government will contribute $350,000 to the $1.3 million project, which will be completed in several stages.
“This is a really big kick-start,” Mr Jones said.

New! New Rescue Craft for the South Coast branch;
A new Rescue Water Craft (RWC) has been formally handed over to South Coast Branch Surf Life Saving by the State Member for South Coast & Speaker of the NSW Parliament the Honourable Shelley Hancock MP and the Member for Kiama & Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra Gareth Ward MP at South Nowra SeaDoo Dealership this morning.
The Rescue Water Craft (RWC) has been made available by the NSW Government through enhanced funding to surf life saving in NSW and is one of eleven such new rescue water craft which have been provided to the Eleven Surf Life Saving Branches throughout NSW.
This Rescue Water Craft will enhance surf life saving operations within South Coast Branches area of operations and will be utilised across the branch area. The RWC will be located at Nowra-Culburra Surf Life Saving Club and will be utilised initially between Shoalhaven Heads to Currarong and inside Jervis Bay.
The Rescue Water Craft is valued at $22,500 and comes with a large rescue sled that is attached to the craft.
