Dr RIP Water Safety Talks commence today for the South Coast. RIP safety is one of the most important talks provided by South Coast Surf Life Saving, particularly at this time of year with thousands of tourists visiting out beaches and in most cases many visit an unpatrolled beach.
South Coast Branch Surf Life Saving with the support of the Veolia Mulwaree Trust and BlueScope WIN Community Partners are sponsoring beach-side lectures and purple dye demonstration of RIPS and Wave Formation by Dr Rob Brander. http://www.bees.unsw.edu.au/rob-brander
Dr Rob Brander of the UNSW will give his well-known talks on RIPS and Ocean wave formation and will dye drop to show RIPS on the inshore beach on the dates below.

Beach Wheelchair Access
We want everyone to have access and enjoy our beautiful world-famous beaches. Shoalhaven City Council, together with our participating community partners inc Surf Lifesaving South Coast Inc., have now FREE hire of beach wheelchairs.

Beach wheelchairs are only designed for
outdoor use, on the beach (on hard or soft sand), in low water, and on grass or surfaced roads.
All sites have an adult size chair available for hire/use.
Patrolled beach sites have both an adult and child size chair available for hire/use. If needed, chest straps must be provided by the hirer/user.
